The Fourth Amendment and Criminal Procedures Governing Investigation, Arrest, and Search and Seizure

The Fourth Amendment enumerates certain safeguards against unreasonable searches and seizures.  The Fourth amendment also requires arrests to be based on warrant.  However, arrest without warrant is allowed in cases of felony and misdemeanors committed in the presence of a police officer.
